The place where I like to live

Most of the time I write about my depression and feelings related to. But today I want to share with you (in case somebody reads me and even if nobody does I just want to share this thoughts here) this written because it´s about of one of my dreams. I realized that the first two post that I wrote here are related to my desire to live in Canada and that posts were two years ago. I´m very grateful with life because finally I could go to such place and I fell in love with him. So, there are the reason why I´d love to live in Canada, specifically in Vancouver city.

Vancouver is a city in the west of Canada. According to Mercer, an important human resources firm, Vancouver is the 5th best place to live worldwide. To make this statement, Mercer takes in consideration political and social environment issues, sociocultural factors, access to medical services, education opportunities, public services like transportation, consumer goods, among others. I lived there only for fifteen days and I had the opportunity to prove what Mercer says and now I know that Vancouver is the place where I like to live.

There are many reasons why I would like to live in such city. Firstly, Vancouver is a very green city, to put in another way, wherever you go, you will see a lot of trees and flowers, all the houses have gardens covered by shrubberies and grass, your eyes will become full of green. Certainly, Vancouver is one of the greenest cities, preceded only by Reykjavik, Vaxjo and Freiburg. I think this is due to Vancouver citizens are very respectful with the environment. For instance, in every corner there are four trash cans with different colors to have an appropriate handling of the garbage and recycle it. Moreover, Canadian First Nations have a profound respect for nature. I learn from them that when they are going to cut a tree, they bow their heads, say a pray and ask for permission to the nature in order to do that action. They are very aware of the importance of nature for our survival.

In the second place, Vancouver is a silent city. One of the first things that impressed me the most was that even thought I was in a big city, I can walk in the downtown and people was very quiet and calm, cars and buses were noiseless too, so, you can experiment a peaceful sensation in the background. Furthermore, this city has the perfect weather for me. It rains the most of the time and it is cold likewise; but, the best part is that the most of the days there is no sun. This city is also my favorite because there are beautiful forests around, you can see animals like bears living in their own habitat, you can travel by ferry through clean and blue waters, walk on the leaf litter in the autumn (yes, like in the movies), you can admire the beautiful mountains cover with snow, even more you can go to one of the few places in the world where it is possible to enjoy an aurora borealis. In sum, Vancouver has all the things that I love.

Finally, I should say that I don´t know if someday I will live in such place; however, I think that is good to know that there is little place in this world who has all the things that I really appreciate, in fact, is better than I could ever have imagined. And what I do know is that Vancouver has a little piece of my heart and I´ll be there again someday.
